My iPod keeps opening up apps by itself and it will take screen shots and when I turn up he volume by the button my screen will go off and I will have to unlock it again. It will also turn my volume up one if I press the top button To make it go on standby, I have sent it into apple but they said it wasn't a software problem that I have submerged it into water ( my iPod has never been around water!!!!) so my mother called and they said the reason my iPod is acting like this is because my screen is cracked ( it's not too bad and it has worked for monthS after that.) I have no clue what's wrong with my iPod please help me. Ps my iPod will also type the letters vnmcxz all the time without me typing them.
you have a broken iPod man. DFU restore to see if it fixes anything, if it doesn't you might want to invest in a new one.
Yup just do yourself a favor and do what this good man says, it'll save you time. your iPod is outdated and totaled. I would suggest buying a new one if you can't fix it. If it helps, I couldn't help but notice that the 2G can't run 5.0 beta that well.
