Hey guys ! The thing is that you're my last hope. I had a jailbreaked ipod touch in 1.1.1 and I thougt that it was time to update. So I connected it to itunes and restored it to factorysettings. I then updated Itunes to the newest version. But when I connected the ipod to itunes again i couldn't find it. Not in My comupter or Itunes. I read on apples website what to do but it still wouldn't work. So i held the menu and on/off button and thought that it could help to restore it again but this time a message came up that told me "The ipod "Ipod" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (-7)". I talked to Apple and they said that they couldn't help me and told me to buy a new one. Please help me figure out whats wrong, can't afford to buy a new one right now.

    Possible solutions:

    Try a DFU restore.
Try an older version of iTunes.

You should be able to get it to work. There shouldn't be any real reason why you can't upgrade the firmware on a first gen iPod touch.
