alright so i held out since may to get a ipod touch cause i was gonna get a 8gb but found out it was really a 2g
    i have the 4th gen 32gb preordered

today i just got a 32gb ipod touch 3g for $160 at staples, WHAT A DEAL HUH?

now i cant decide which one i should go with... im only gonna use the ipod touch mostly for apps and games

if i stick with the 3g ill save $130 but ill be missing out on:
    new processor
    gyroscope
    retina display
camera (im not gonna use much)

what do u guys think? what else am i missing out on?

Dude. 4G All the way. Up to you though.

And plus, the 4G is gonna be so much faster than a 2G or a 3G. So MultiTasking won't be a killer anymore, and have you seen the quality of the HD video recorder? Pretty awesome. And longer battery, and Retina Display is just...wow.

    I'd get the 4G

Apple A4 processor, FaceTime, possible vibrator motor. If you don't miss the features that were already listed, then the 3G is the way to go because it would be cheaper and it does everything software wise that the 4G iPod touch can do.

There's a built in mic as well.

The gyroscope will be huge for gaming, so unless you're really strapped for cash it seems like a pretty obvious choice. Sell the 3G on ebay!

It's really up to you, I'm upgrading from a 2/3G to a 4G, this upgrade is really worth it, and I bet the 5G won't even have a major upgrade, probably just a minor upgrade just like the 2ndG to the 3rdG but the 6G might, but that probably won't happen, there'll probably be like a new product or something xD

It's no use waiting for a next generation. Then you might have a cheaper 4g next year and you won't get the 5g.
