    Well I have been using cyw00d's GUI and I got to the part where you have to put your ipod in DFU mode. I did what it said, I held the home and power button for 1o seconds then relased the power and held the home for another 10 seconds, it stayed black so I clicked the button that said Upload DFU File and a window came up but wnet away really quick, is this window supposed to stay up?

    So I went on the next thing that said to unplug your ipod for a total of 2 seconds and then plug it back in, I did theis but the screen did not turn white... Does anyone know what my problem is?

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Stephanie

    When your iPod is in DFU mode the screen should be black. Plug your iPod into your computer and use the sounds coming from Windows to determine when your iPod is correctly in it. http://ipodhowto.co.cc/?page=8&title=How%20to%20put%20your%20iPod%20in%20DFU%20using%20Windows

    install c++, and have itunes running when you try to put it in DFU mode, if done right iTunes will say that it found an iPod in Recovery Mode (pretty much dfu mode)

    terminal = mac command prompt

    command prompt = entering the information manually which is what people (like me) had to do before there were GUIs.

    I don't have cywood in front of me now but isn't that the part where you have to remove the iPod for about 2 seconds and then plug it back in and the screen is supposed to turn white?
