When I go to restore.. it says "Contacting the iPod software update server..." but after a minute or so it goes to "The iPod software update server could not be contacted. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later."

I looked onto my iPod and its only got 300 MB memory.

I was stuck at the iPHUC part of the Jailbreak and thought I would restore it and start from the beginning again.

It's not bricked. iTunes is having a problem downloading the update (for restore). If you have another computer with iTunes, try that and post your results.

    Unbricking you ipod touch

Hold down both physical buttons on ipod touch simultaneously. This will reset the touch to factory condition (i.e. unbricks). Hope this works.

i had the same, what i did was:

while connected with mac/pc, press home +power button for some time till iPod shuts completely off

keep holding the 2 buttons, until you see the apple logo

stop holding the power button, but still keep holding the home button, and you will see an image of the iPod connector and the logo of iTunes...

    it should restore now

(if its still does nothing, try opening iTunes, which should give an error, and ask to restore, click yes)

Its just a problem of me connecting the the 'iPod software restore' thing

5th time trying to Restore it now.. and all saying about the network connection error.. :S

Thanks for all your help so far.

If I could connect to the iTouch with SFTP and change those media file names etc, would it work then? (Gonna try it now)

I have tried to restore it on every computer in the house, all saying it has the connection error. I was trying to get on the [PIRACY.rs].com website so I could attempt to continue the jailbreak to at least where I could change the folder names so I could sync back to iTunes and have my 16GB..

BUT [PIRACY.rs].com isn't working for some strange reason.
