Help!!! Ipod wont turn On

    My ipod wont turn on I know its charged I tried holding the things at once and it wont work. I jailbreaked it and have a bunch of apps if i bring it to the ipod store and they see that will they void my waranty like in the computer ?. Can they see it at all ? Or easiest thing can anyone fix this?

    Plug it in to the computer and see if iTunes recognizes it. If it does do a restore.

    Meaning it wont recognize it or turn on.

    If force restore doesn't work, you might have a brick, which is very very rare. If that's the case your only hope is to get it replaced. PM a mod for advice because chances are this is fixable.

    If it's bricked, then it's almost definitely a hardware problem. The forced restore method is hard-wired into the system. Software can't override or corrupt it. If it won't turn on even with the forced restore method, then it's a hardware problem.

    any idea if they can tell if it was jailbreaked

    If there's no way of turning it on then there's no way they can immediately tell that it was jailbroken. However, if they perform any kind of hardware repair (replacing a bad battery, PCB, screen, etc.) then once they get it working they will be able to tell.
