my ipod touch 2g is stuck in recovery mode, where it says connect to itunes image. i did all the steps, DFU mode and shift restore to 2.2.1. it says ipod restoration is complete, ipod will restart in 10 seconds, but after that the ipod just boots back into recovery mode, still with the connect to itunes sign.
i've done this many times. any help please?!

i think it may have been white for a bit but the apple logo still comes up with the progress bar. and then it finishes and goes back into recovery mode.
i even tried uninstalling and reinstaling itunes first.

    Try using a boot loader..
Theres tons of threads about them and a few boot loaders to choose from..

actually i jailbroke my ipod earlier, but i had to do a clean restore and rejailbreak it. thats where it went wrong. so its not jailbroken currently i believe. so how would i use a bootloader?

It all depends if you have the jb firmware then you need a boot loading tool.. if you have the stock firmware then you might have to restore it again..

i've tried both. i used decovery and redtool, nothing works. i try to restore it with the original firmware, itunes says success at first but its still stuck in recovery mode.

also one thing i found out, with my speakers on. the ipod continues to disconnect/reconnect/turn off very often. especially during restores. maybe thats why it wont work? but how would i fix that..

this same problem is happening to me every time i restore it, after it is still in recovery mode. I have tryed restore it multiple times. i was in the middle of jailbreaking my ipod touch when it happened.
