Now before anyone decides to post "try searching noob" or anything like that. I have spent 8 or 9 hour today alone searching for some kind of help.

Now that you have been forewarned.

I purchased a 1st gen iPod Touch from ebay and it supposedly was stuck in recovery mode. I thought this would be a simple restore and I would have a cheap iPod touch. Not the case! I have tried ibrickr, Zi-Phone, QuickPwn,etc. Nothing works. It is recognized by iTunes but wont restore. It is not recognized by iBrickr, or any other program. It will show the usb cable and arrow pointing at itunes if i put it into forced recovery mode but it will eventually power off and the show the low battery symbol. But it wont charge. Then i connected it to a wall charger and it will show the low battery icon and then the apple logo in a continuous loop. I have tried everything and nothing has helped. Any Idea what to do?????????/

I am not that educated on issues like that, but I had that apple logo loop problem before. Did you try a DFU restore?
