first my ipod was fine. but 1day it would not turn on so i pluged in a charger and the apple logo appeared and after a few seconds the ipod just shut off.after i few tries i pluged it to my pc itunes did not detect. so i tried force the ipod to restore mode and itunes detected it.it display the connect to itunes logo. when i start to restore the ipod will restart when itunes says it is "preparing ipod for restore" and the restore fails.

    anyone can help?

Try DFU. That will definitely work. BTW, DFU is the one where the screen is black, not the one with the connect to iTunes logo. Those two are completely different.
