    Hi. I have a Jaibroken 3GS, Jailbroken with the Purplera1n RC2.

Now and again, it might crash, and when I restart the screen might not respond. Usually when this happens, I just restart by holding Home and Power, and it works when it loads up again. However, last night I ran out of battery. When putting on charge now, the screen loads up but it won't respond to touch- ie it wont Slide, and when I double tap home, the play button comes up for Music but it won't play either. If I use the volume buttons on the side, the volume changes so I know the screen is working, just not responding to touch. I can't unlock my iPhone! Which is obviously quite frustrating, as I probably need it more than you might need a Touch.

Atm I am waiting for it to recharge the battery, as this might have something to do with it. Also I have reset using Home and Power many times, I really do not want to Restore!

    Thanks

Hmmm strange.... in all my experienced I haven't encountered that before.

Well I suggest a simple DFU mode restore, and a fresh Unlock/Jailbreak because that's what it's going to boil down to if it's software related. That's the only thing you can really do at this point, sorry.

Ok, which Jailbreak would you recommend? As I said I used Purplera1n when it was first released, before Redsn0w was available for 3GS

I suggest redsn0w. It's more simple to use and less time consuming.

Battery now full, seems to work ok. May rejailbreak with latest Purplera1n because it happens fairly often, but will also try to make sure battery doesnt die!
