[help!] installing apps by copying folder

    i previously have ipodtouch 3g 32GB and i give it to my niece.
    before i gave it to her, i copied all my apps in var/mobile/applications to my desktop.
    and now, i bought the new ipodtouch 3g 32GB again...
    and i'd copied all my apps from my previous ipod to var/mobile/applications of the new ipod..
    but the apps didnt showed up at my new ipod, even after restart and respring..
    am i doing something wrong??

    you can't copy the folders. you need to sync the ipa's in itunes

    Download in iTunes, sync with iTunes. The apps are linked to your account so you can simply just redownload them from the iTunes store.
