My 2008 iMac keeps restarting for no reason at all. Some times I am on it fo over 30 minutes and it restarts but other times it restarts as soon as I turn it on even before it gets to the log in screen. I don't know weather it is a virus, software or hardware and it is definatly not the iWork trojan. I am running snow leopard at this time.

    Thank you for your help

[Edit] my mac was absolutely fine about a week or so ago, i have recently updated the software for snow leopard to 10.6.2 and was wondering if this was the problem. I still dont know how this can be happening. If you have any ideas or solutions can you please post!!

I don't know if it helps, but reset the PRAM (COMMAND+OPTION+P+R on apple chime [booongggggg] and hold until it rechimes)
