Definition: bricked (from the Urban Dictionary)
To render your computer useless, as useless as a brick. Usually the result of tampering with the insides and doing irreversible damage. Bricking your hardware leaves you with a new paperweight. Can be the end effect of a faulty flash or firmware update, a modification (mod) gone bad or being struck by lighting, to name a few.

You can restore - hence the damage is reversible... therefore, not bricked... just messed up

next time, if you want to free space but dont want to risk bricking your ipod using the same method, search the forums for Bigboss' repository and download boss tools, the app lets you automatically move your applications and wall papers folder to your media partition so you get around 40megs of free space

WAIT!. Try running the application space thing again.

This happened to me on 3 different ipods after running the lines into WinSCP. Try running all the lines again and see what happens. Let me know.. btw I was on 1.1.1 for all three, so it may be different.
