    I everyone!!!I'm hopeless.I had a Ipod touch 8GB in 1.1.4 firmware and I tryed to jailbreak it according to this post http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54859..

    It took many minutes, and it wouldn't complete the process so I took the cable off..
    Suddenly this message appeared;

    AppleS5L8900XIpodHal::message
    IOIpodUSBDevice::gated_message cable removed, stopping stack

    And this message is locked in the screen and I cannot turn the ipod off.....
    What should I do!!!Help please!!!

    Wait till the battery is dead, sync it to the computer, restore, and use a different hack.

    Life lesson children: When a program is messing with you software, don't unplug your iPod, wait it out or cancel the process from your computer.

    But just try what Masky said. And if THAT doesn't work, try force restore:

    Hold the home button and sleep button for 10 seconds, then let go of the sleep button BUT keep holding the home button, iTunes should detect your iPod in recovery mode

    OR

    Hold the home button and plug your iPod in, and keep holding the home button. iTunes should detect your iPod in recovery mode.

    Ok...Good news....
    I pressed the home and power buttons for a while and then it restarted and it began installing the Ziphone thing and the menu finally appeared with many apps, so I think it has jailbroken.....

    Thankx for the help..I've never been so scared my whole life...

    Ahh, yes, I forgot about ZiPhone. Used that thing once and kinda ditched it, cause I didn't need to jailbreak ever since.

    And always remember force restore, it will save your iPod many times, trust me.

    EDIT: You THINK it has jailbroken? Check if you have installer, then you'll know.

    ZiPhone is a fine jailbreaking method, but Pwnage is going to be 6 billion times better.
