    Hey,
I had an iPod Touch jailbroken on 2.1.2 i believe and put several of my games from the appstore and the facebook app into a folder i created with Catergories. I then restored my iPod to update it to 2.2 i think and then i could not put the apps which where in the folder onto my iPod! I have restored my ipod several times and nothing worked!
Recently also i got a legitimate iPhone 3GS on contract with 3 and put all of my apps on it, i then restored from the backup of my iPod. I was then left to find that my games and facebook are still missing! I don't want to completely restore the iPhone to factory settings as i will lose all of my settings which i had on my iPod,
    WHAT SHOULD I DO?! AHH

If they are in iTunes then sync them over? Or are they not showing up there?

they are showing up in iTunes and stuff, as i can sync them to my dad's iPhone and my girlfriends iPod Touch, it's just my iPod 1G and iPhone 3G that they won;t sync to, it even says that they are on the iPhone, like in the settings docklet, if you scroll to the bottom, i has Nike+ options and Last.fm and then the games that i can't see and the facebook settings. It also says that it is adding the games and facebook when I unsync and re-sync them with iTunes.

mmm...you don't have to be jailbroken, I meant the default settings app.
Even if you restore, your apps remain in the categories folder, so if you don't want to jailbreak and download categories again; use the method I told you, trust me it works.
