Gonna have to take it apart most likely. Connections prolly came loose. If you got a warranty on it still, go to an Apple store and get a new one or something. If you don't, like I said, you will have to fix it yourself or pay someone to fix it.

im only 28 days over warranty so apple screws me off. and they said itll cost a flat rate of a hundred and 20 bucks just to fix it. so im p'd off and im most likely about to throw the friggin thing at a wall its had so many problems. cant take it apart (myself) due to unsuficient tools (and dad will kill me). cant restore because i always get errors

Your best bet is to buy a new one. In my honest opinion, opening up a device usually only leads to more problems.

Well, if you are gonna throw it at a wall or get a new one, it doesn't hurt to open it up anyways. I mean, you got nothing to lose. You could end up fixing, then have 2 iPods, or f*** it up more, but if you replace it, you don't gotta worry about it.
