I need help on how to buy an iPhone and use it with at&t without a data plan. I really want an iPhone, because all of the other phones suck(to my opinion). My friend has also said that I can jailbreak it, download sbsettings specifically for the iphone, and disable 3g so that I won't be charged for the data plan as I cannot recieve the 3g service, but idk if it still works or not.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

So...you're trying to say that I should get a RAZR first from AT&T and just switch sim cards?

No, just go to an ATT store and tell them you need a sim card. For 25 dollars they will activate it for you and put 100 minutes on it. Just don't tell them you have and iPhone. Say you have an old phone.

So....you're trying to say that I should get a Razr, then go to AT&T store and tell them to active my phone, and use that sim card and put it into a iphone? Wouldn't they find out though, because the Sim Card sends information of my phone to AT&T, and my phone will be displayed on the at&t website.

No, I'm just saying go to ATT and get a regular sim card. There's no point of spending money on a different phone. Just ask for a sim card. I don't think they would know. Ive been using it that way since the begining of March.
