I recently got new headphones for use around my home and with my Ipod touch. The problem is that the jack doesnt fit into the headphone jack of my ipod while I have my Ifrogz luxe case on. Ive looked at other cases online, but most seem to have narrow openings for the jack and the headphone jack diameter is around .5 inches.

I was wondering anyone knew of any cases (hard or silicon) that had a fairly large opening or unexposed area around the headphone jack. Ive thought about getting any silicone case and just cutting the opening larger, but dont really want to deface it if possible.

And to clarify these headphones have an adapter that scerws on so I can plug them into my receiver, so thats why the jack base is pretty large.

I have the RebelTouch for my iPod Touch.

Thing is, you can't fit most headphones in (Same as your problem), but it comes with some adapter (very small cord) that sticks out so you can plug all headphones in.

And the case is very protective, IMO.

Cool I guess Ill have to check that out then. I wish there were more cases that had a bigger openning on the bottom.

I like that there is a smaller opening on the bottom, it's more protective.

There is also a special piece that fits into your dock port, so that's protected too.

How well does the headphone extension work, or how far does it stick out?

    About 3 inches.

Look at reviews on YouTube of it, or pictures on the internet.
It's defiantly not long enough to bother me. Very short.

    I have the Griffin iClear.

Its a clear, hard, 2-piece snap on case thats really cool.
Its clear, but on the back, its a Frosty color.
You can still see through it, but its a cool Frosty like tone that hides your scratches.

On the front snap-on piece, (it goes around the corners on the front), it has "magnifying glasses" that magnify your chrome.

Also, you can buy the $25 dollar version and get a belt clip to go with it.

I bought a case from eBay for like 3 bucks. A cheap silicone case.

The problem is I need a case with a fairly large Jack opening, or something thats durable enough that I can cut the opening larger to fit my headphone jack.

Griffin iClear opens the whole bottom dock area (pretty much).

The bottom dock part is just like a regular iPod touch, but the case goes around the corners ever so slightly.. h/o ill take a picture of it.
