I just recently updated from 1.1.4 to 2.1, jailbroke it using quickpwn, and proceeded to test the wifi connection. Everything works out fine at first, but when I download something, like an app or a music file from the store or something from cydia, I notice that instead of proceeding smoothly, the download stops around every 5 seconds, thereby lengthening the whole download process. It doesn't really stop, more like stall since the download still continues, albeit at a staggered rate.

Does anyone have a fix for this? I'd really appreciate some help right now.

P.S. It's not a router problem, I checked using both my laptop and my desktop and everything goes smoothly for both, I'm just having problems with the iPod ever since I upgraded it to 2.1

That only happens to me when I download from Sendspace. Maybe someone is running Netlimiter?

try a restore or turn wifi on and off a few times that usually fixes it
    if not restart your ipod
then your screwed if that doesnt work then

Some people just have problems with 2.1 and WiFi. Usually a DFU restore will do it good.
