Well since I haven't made a thread in a while, I might as well go ahead and ask simple questions to our amazing iFans helpers:

Well, as you know, I have an iPhone 4 w/ a large crack running diagonally through it. The Home Button is okay but somewhat less responsive than it used to be. The back plate has a lot of scratches with the camera being affected mostly.

So here are my questions to you iFans:

    1. Anyone trustworthy to help me with this?
    2. How much would cost to have it repaired (As I indeed paid for a new Assembly Kit)?
    3. How long would it take (I am a rather busy person when using my iPhone)?

Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks iFans!

Note: I also live in Hammond, IN.

Hi! I repaired a lot of iPhones, starting from 2G and finishing with 4S. From my experience, it is relatively easy, however, when you start, you may find it challenging. Most of the parts, like ribbons and etc can be found on eBay, HOWEVER, if you want to get OEM (original parts), you may consider ifixit.com, because they have the best parts and their service is amazing. For a full assembly for your iPhone, it will be around 100 Dollars, as well, iFix it has a super detailed guide that shows how to disassemble the whole iPhone, no matter which one, you may consider that as well. And for time, it takes usually up to an hour to carefully disassemble your phone and put it back together. My knowledge is acquired on the Internet haha, I was just like you at the beginning, wondering how it worked until I dropped my iPhone 2G and then, decided to repair it on my own rather than paying someone else :) Good luck with your project there! P.S Starting with iPhone 4, you can't replace only the digitizer, the lcd is glued to the glass so that's why it's sold in assemblies and costs more.
