    Your iPod is not bricked and to downgrade it to 3.0 u have to press the shift key then click check for updates and select 3.0.

    Well whenever I turn on my ipod touch it's in DFU mode and it says i have to restore it. And i click OK and the check for updates link is like gray and un-clickable. I can only click Restore. And i have the Firmware 3.0 on my desktop!

    You are in Restore mode, to put it into DFU mode, do the following;

    DFU mode:
    1.) Plug In iPod (Very Important)
    2.) Turn off iPod
    3.) Hold LOCK button for 1-2 seconds
    4.) Hold LOCK + HOME button for 10 seconds
    5.) Hold Let go of LOCK but keep holding HOME for 30 seconds.
    6.) If the screen is Black and shows nothing, You are in DFU mode.

    It doesn't matter.. shut down iTunes and just hold Lock and Home until the screen blacks out and release Lock and hold Home until there is that usb chord.. and that's it! iTunes will pop up and ask you to restore your iPod then Shift+click on Restore and take ur 3.0.ipsw
