My ipod is new and hasn't been jailbroken (yet).

When I try and watch a movie everything is fine for about an hour or so, then I get a blue screen. Still have audio but can't watch the movie. Sometimes if I start the movie again and fastforward to the part where it blue screens it is ok, but sometimes it just goes straight back to blue screen.

This is the only time it blue screens. Can anybody help please?

    Cheers

How about you stop illegally obtaining your music and rip a DVD to iTunes

You don't obtain music from DVDs. DVDs can't be ripped to iTunes. We are talking about Movies not Music.

Post a screenshot. Does it happen with every movie or with a specific one? Maybe your videos are incompatible with your iPod. I had a few troublesome videos that had green screens in the past - they were encoded at too high a quality.
