Ok, let's say I had a Macbook (I'm saving up for one). And lets say I wanted to develop apps for the Appstore. How much would the development kit cost? And what type of language will apps be coded in anyway?

To become a developer it costs $99. And I'm guessing it'd be the English language

wow it's not the english language. he said "coded in". wow....im gonna say it one more time, wow. now to answer your question, the language is objective c. which is the mac version of c. if you're experienced in c++ or c# then you can just read some stuff off of apple to get the minor differences and you'll be good. otherwise i would suggest getting a book.

It is $0 for the dev kit, or also called:
    the iPhone SDK
Just sign up at the iPhone Dev Site and it's a free download with a Leopard and Intel requirment.
Also, it is in Objective C

How is a Mac Book not worth getting if you don't know how to code? Are you saying that is all the Mac Book is good for?
