Ok i have been trying to make a i guess you would call it a half theme with just Masks and overlays that way i dont have to go and make a new icon everytime i get something new. But for some reason the masks/overlays are only applying to around half of the icons. screenies below...any ideas? i have set the icons either to 59x60 or 57x57 as i have seen around the nets but to no success

I think what the problem is.
The Problem is that you're probably using a 3.0 ipsw theme cause (I think) 3.0 isn't jailbreakable yet.
Now just try to de-apply that theme and than see what happens

Nope lol that is not a theme i just took the new icons and put them in the actual folders of the text, mail, phone, and ipod apps =p so i will always have them if i choose no theme

also if they were the problem, those 4 would only be not masked

    Hey.

Appoverlays don't work with the default icons. The icons like safari, youtube, app store, itunes, etc.

You have to make an icon for each of them

Ignoring the fact that that was a bump (try not to bump 2 month old threads), some apps apply their own effects to their icons so the icon overlays don't show. I'm guessing there should be some way to edit some file via SSH to make them use the overlay.
