I'm all set to jailbreak my 2.1 3G phone on a mac, but the 'auto-unzip' is on and every firmware file I download gets unlocked therefor wont work.
How do I turn this feature off? Thanks!!

set your folders to vewi hidden files, then do a search for your firmware (since you already downloaded it from apple) no need to get pirated ones. I would tell you step-by-step how, but I dont have a mac

Go in the trash. The .zip is in there. put it on your desktop and right click / show info / remove the .zip from the name so it ends with .ipsw
