I recently purchased the 8gig 4th gen. touch. This is my first iPod, or apple product for that matter. What file format do my tunes need to be for the iPod? I have had them on my pc for ages, and were ripped with Windows Media Player, so they are .wma files. I am going to write up another post in a day or two with my full thoughts on this new iPod i got.

i did do a search, but didn't find much. Or, rather I should say.. the countless amount of results. Could you please point me to the correct thread. Thanks Kindly

I'm pretty sure iTunes can covert them to m4a files. Just try dragging them in and see what happens.

I did, but nothing seems to happen. I am on a windows machine now, and I am pretty familiar with PC's in general.

Nevermind, I was trying to put it into the wrong playlist. Seems to be working.. It asked me to convert the file.

    Thanks a ton man!
