First off I want to thank all of you who contribute to this site, I have used so much of your knowledge to help me through my iPod Touch adventure.

So here is my current issue. This a.m. my daughter brought me her 1st gen. iPod Touch that she would like me to jailbreak to work on current version iTunes 2.2. She uses Mac, has older version iTunes (maybe 1.1.7), not 2.0 or 2.2.

I assume I can use my PC with QwkPwn to Jailbreak, correct? But what will happen then when she takes it home and upgrades to iTunes 2.2? Should I wait until she upgrades to 2.2, than Jailbreak?

    Thanks again for you input.

    1. iTunes is currently on version 8.0.2. I believe you're referring to the firmware on the iPod touch.

    2. Yes, you can use QuickPwn to jailbreak with your PC. However, if she updates to 2.2, she will lose the jailbreak, and you will have to jailbreak again.

So, you should let her update first (or do it yourself) and then jailbreak.

Thanks, I will get her upgraded and than Jailbreak. Was hoping I could get some apps loaded on the device for her so she could play.
