    Hey guys, I'm having issues getting to my ipod through SSH...

    I'm on firmware 1.1.4, I have openSSH installed, and I have Services installed...

    Services tells me that SSH is on...

    BUT, every time I try to connect to my ipod touch (through winscp), I enter the IP address, then the username "root", and the password "alpine"

    for some reason, my FTP client can't connect to my iPod...

    ==========
    Is it because the username and password are wrong? I'm not sure, Services says SSH is active, and I'm positive the IP address is correct.

    is there some kind of fix in installer for this?

    use cuteFTP pro instead of winSCP.

    okay, don't you have to pay to get that?

    :/

    sigh*, this is frustrating, 1.1.1 worked flawlessly in winSCP

    I think he meant to delete the account in the ssh software on your computer. not the root account of your ipod. Do you get any error message ? like invalid password or problem with rsa key ?
