i am familiar with hacking the PSP, so i know the basics about downgrading and bricking. my main purpose was to find cool applications to use on my touch becuase i know playing games on it would ruin battery life and take up memory. so if anyone is kind enough to help... it would be much abliged!

o, i also wanted to know how much space this typically takes up on the touch? cause i only have the 8 gig. i was also wondering if there was any way to trade in my 8 gig for a 16 gig if i bought it from apple itself... id pay 100 more!

You would think so, but in my experience that is not always the case.
Even this forum is riddled with questions that have been answered time and time again.

Jailbreaking is the best thing you could do to an ipod, just having the mail and maps apps was worth the effort (jailbreaked long before the one touch apps came out)

alright, so then after jailbreaking i would be able to place apps on my touch? does jailbreaking bring up the IpoT as a removeable disk drive on my computer?

Once you have completed the jailbreaking procedure you will be able to install apps including iPhone apps like mail.app maps.app and stocks.app.

No it will not show up as a removable disk (disk mode) as far as I am aware, I have a Mac (Now running Leopard

), a PC runnning Vista (needs to go back to XP), and a laptop running XP Pro and it dosn't appear to work on any of those.
