So I just signed up with the community.

I can't wait till someone has a e-mail app running smoothly on the touch. I had the 8gb for about 2 weeks when i returned it. I found that the 8gb is not enugh, and fear that the 16 may not be enough either. I had a 60 gb photo which recently had a sad ipod face on there.

If I can get the e-mail app on the touch, I would get the 16 and be done. The maps app would be very nice as well. So I will patiently wait a while to see what happens. I am hoping I can see if there is a black friday deal somewhere, however, i doubt it will be anything big for ANY iPod.

Welcome to the forums. You do realise you can simply port the iPhone apps straight onto your iPod Touch aslong as you also SFTP over the correct frameworks/bundles into the correct locations?

The iPhones Mail.app is compatible with Gmail and works perfectly fine on the iPod Touch. So does the Maps.app application.
