Hi, I'm from the US in New York (best place eva!

). I keep coming up with this site when I search for questions on Google so I decided to join.

Anyway, my question/problem is that my iPod Touch keeps on running really slowly with App Store-related stuff. Anything related to it: loading categories in the App Store, loading the actual apps, loading icons, loading updates, etc. It even takes a long time for the actual update of an app to take place (i.e. on my SpringBoard). Do you have any idea why?

    Thanks!

(PS. I have an iPod Touch 4G on 4.1 and jailbroke it with Limera1n.)

Try respringing, do you have any themes on? That can slow stuff down since most themes were not written for retina/4.1. Turn it off and on again, and if nothing else works restore.

I have to agree with this. If you have an "N" router, turn off B/G/N and just use N or B/G... It has been known to slow down WiFi.

Also check what apps are multitasking (If your device supports it). It could be that your iPod is just slow right now.

Also disable any mobilesubstrate addons you don't use (can also slow down the device).

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, I've tried disabling the mobilesubstrate stuff and the themes but it's still slow. I think it's either 1) my wifi internet is slow or 2) I have a virus. Thanks anyway!

Yeah, it's probably the internet. My cousin has a pretty slow Wi-Fi internet access point and whenever I connect to it my whole device slows down, but I go to my house with the perfect connection
