    hello am glad i found this community it helps me with my ipod touch and sadly couldnt fix my iphone 3g, the problem on it is when i try to restore the OS on it i get error 23 could any1 help me with this? thanks

    hey welcome
    plug ur iphone in
    go to its page
    hit Restore nothing else, just restore, NOT SHIFT CLICK RESTORE
    then let it download its own firmware, then let it do its thing
    DONT TOUCH IT THE WHOLE TIME

    Follow the directions lolmao gave you, except use the link below (It should work), I think he forgot to put up his link. But this should get you into DFU mode and allow you to restore.

    Click RESTORE (Just click) and let it do it's stuff. It'll take a while, let it do it's thing.

    i tried that and it doesnt let me restore my os at all, it jus comes up with the same error once again

    Reinstall the latest version ( or a very late 9.x version) of iTunes and try again.

    well my friend just informed me that his iphone fell in the water if this helps for more info, i have the latest 9.x version of itunes

    yea thats the problem.. i read somewhere that if the 30 pin connecter is damaged, it will effect the sync and restore processes
