    Hi,
Sold my IPOD Classic today to buy a Touch.
Should I spring for the extra $95 and get the 16Gb model?

I don't get why people ask these questions. Is it really that hard to figure out?

Seriously guys, i mean they are identical. If someone has 100 songs and 1 video they're gonna say go for the 8gb, and if you have a few thousand and several hours of vids then they'll go for the 16gb. It's up to you not us, we don't know how much stuff you have.

Look at what you want to put on it, and choose accordingly.
Just to be clear the two models are IDENTICAL besides the gb difference.

    Yeah, it's more like

"are you around a laptop at least once every 2 days" - 8GB fine
"are you around a laptop at least once every 4 days" - 16GB fine

I dunno about you, but my library is much larger then 16GB. Given the battery life and the fact that I'm gonna be hauling my laptop with its 160GB hard drive with me on any trip, and gonna plug the ipod touch in every day to sync anyway, its really not that big of a hardship to have the 8GB. If the choice were 8GB, or for 30% more money 40GB, then sure, no brainer, 40GB.
