Hey guys,I'm new here of course...

Well anyhow,Awhile ago I jailbroke my 2g with the tethered jailbreak.
....Well,my computer I used with it is ruined, and the laptop I'm using right now
    has faulty usb ports....

Back to the point,my ipod crashed so now its in dfu mode.
So I used someone elses computer to try to get it going with 1 click boot...
but no matter what the computer wont recognize the ipod to install the software.
Probably since its in dfu mode..So anyways,I get the feeling I'm done for here, but just wanted to ask all of you.
It sucks cause I'll never be able to afford another.

It shouldn't matter if it's in DFU Mode...
Try using a different USB Port.

yeah... the computer actually should recognize it if its in DFU mode.. i have had that kind of a problem before.. but here is my suggestion.. use quickfreedom to jailbreak untethered on ur friends computer. its much better than tethered.

Yeah, the computer that I'm on now sometimes does that. I have to go over to the Desktop or my laptop to do anything with my stupid iPod.

Huh,well it could be that this other computer isnt working right itself...
    I dunno,I'll try again in a second...

If I re-jailbreak my ipod with quickfreedom will I lose my data on jailbroken apps?
    Gba games etc.

yes but it will be worth it.

Oh and also u can give APTBackup (FAIL!!!) a shot. But than again that ACTUALLY WORked for me. It just ended crashing my boot files and putting my ipod into constant reboot.

    Good luck

Oh well, that kinda sucks, but yeah its worth it to not be in this situation.
I cant think of a solution at all..Well other than trying to find someone who could possibly repair the original computer.
