    hei, i`m mary and i now have my first ipod, ipod touch and i really need help

    why doesn`t my library add movies?! avi? and is itunes the only way tot put things on my ipod?! i don`t know anything about iphone or ipod.

    iTunes isn't the only way, but some might say the easiest. You need to convert your movie files to a iphone/ipod friendly file type, then you're good to go.

    You need to convert the videos to .mp4 before putting them on to your iPod.

    Welcome to IPTF,
    1. You need to convert the .avi to MPEG-4(.MP4) so iTunes and iPod/iPhone can read them.
    2. Yes, there a couple other software you can use for iPod syncing, but they're a little limited, here's a list of other alternatives to iTunes, a small search will show some more up.

    BTW: I'm not sure how these alternatives work, but i recommend you stick to iTunes, it's the BEST.
