    some quick questions

    1) have you jailbreaked it?
    2) have you waited like 5 minutes?
    3) have you tapped the screen a couple of times first
    4) if you jailbreaked your ipod, then what was the last application you downloaded?
    5) have you recently updated the firmware
    6) have you tried to restore your ipod?

try reseting by holding down the HOME button and the POWER button at the same time.

DUDE TRUST ME, JUST RESTORE. i took me 2 hours with apple tech support to find that out. save yourself the headache and 20 dollars. Hold the power button and home button for like 10 secs. When the ipod turns off, let go of the power button and keep on holding the home button. soon enough youll see the itunes logo and it will ask you to connect your ipod to your computer. if this dont work the first time, then dont worry. This time plug your ipod to your computer first, and then do all the power button thing agian

Yeah restoring will make all your troubles go away, along with all apps and music!!! Anyway, it'll fix you up back to factory settings.
