My ipod touch is having some sort of issue, any ideas?

The headphones work fine if I reset my device, but after some time passes.. it stops working, and it acts like there is nothing plugged in.

And I think it might have something to do with iCall.. because when i open the icall app, it says no mic is inserted and does something to the volume pop up (when you control volume from the side) because it does not say headphones or even the word volume like its supposed to.

Make sure the jack is in all the way. Also try a different pair of headphones.

    Try a restore.

I did, its just random.. a simple restart always fixes it.
however... if I am not at home, that could suck ;[ (tethered)

And a restore is out of the question, I have way to much stuff to have to restore. (jailbroken stuff)
