Contrary to popular belief, iOS does not present you with a list of applications to launch when you plug in a pair of headphones. On the contrary, HeadphoneLauncher was designed to do just that! Once you plug in a pair of headphones, at the lock screen you'll be greeted with applications that you configured in Settings. As a bonus, HeadphoneLauncher will display the media controls on your lockscreen. Apps at your Headphone tips!

I've always been against lockscreen app launchers but this is actually pretty cool...is there a way to make it show the switcher up there?

The multitasking switcher? You can do that with another tweak called LockScreen Multitasking (free).

I used to use Poweramp on my Android phone and it would automatically play audio when I plugged in headphones -- much like this. I really loved it and would like to see Apple bring this to the Music app officially.

Add the iTunes app to Restrictions in Settings, and now the button does nothing.
