Well, to be honest that doesn't sound too comfortable IMO. It'd almost feel like your cleaning your ears all the time

From what I've heard, you have to get used to it, but it's worth it. Plus, i clean my ears all of the time anyway, lol

Well I've never had a really good pair of headphones, and I've heard that these are "phenomenal"

I use those silicone tips on my Turbines :p They do feel really weird cause they go pretty deep in your ear, so I cut the smallest layer off and it feels much better. Sounds good too :p

Sound preferences? Do you want something that is more bassy, more bright, balanced throughout, detailed, etc? Judging by your music preferences, you would want something more bassy along with a small mid-high bump and good treble. Headphones that fit this are:

    • Klispche S4s (so I've read; I haven't personally heard these myself)
    • ThinkSound TS02
    • XEars N3i
    • DUNU Trident (amazing value)
    • Brainwavz M3
    • Monster Turbine (buy from an authorized dealer!) - please note, I haven't heard the Turbine series either. Only read about them.
      • Regular (black): should suite you, a bit expensive.
      • Golds: Will suite you for sure
      • Coppers: should also suite you, more balanced though.
I see you are looking at Etymotics. Although they offer amazing quality for the price, I would have to suggest against this as their sound signature will not suite your genres. They are extremely bass light (especially for normal listeners).
