    Hi, I am extremely Interested in making calls with my iPod touch first gen, unfortunatly all the apps i have found with free calling will not install on my iPod. I'm wondering if I spend the money for a pair of headphones/ mic will I be able to install and use icall or tuitalk. If yes, what brand do you reccomend?

    mic for 1st gen is dock only (like this) and most mic apps should work with it plugged in (some make their apps iphone/2nd gen ipt only since the 1st usually cant work with a mic and u must use a hack to install the app)

    rename .ipa to .zip and open the zip file, edit iTunesMetadata.plist with notepad, scroll down to

    <key>softwareSupportedDeviceIds</key>
    <array>
    <integer>"some number"</integer>
    </array>

    and change "some number" to 1 save and rename .zip to .ipa and readd to itunes
