Okay. I've had a problem with my headphone jack for about a year now. I'm really tired of not being able to listen to music. But, anyways, I read somewhere that I could take a safety pin and pull the left pin that's stuck out. However, I have the knowledge to know that when you touch metal to an electronic circuit, it can damage it even further. If I turn my iPod off completely, would it be safe to pull the pin out?

Or you can just to take it to Apple and wait a day for them to fix it.

And wonder why you didn't do that a year ago after that.

    I have no warranty. It's a first-gen touch. I'm poor.

If you find a cheap/easy solution for this let me know. I have also had the same problem as you for about a year. I found a guide online on how to fix it, but it required taking the ipod apart

Apple will still fix it for a price.

Hence the second part of his comment: I'm poor.

Any fixes?? (Other than "Apple, please fix my ipt because I'm incompetent.")

Yeah, $150. It happened to mine; that's how much they wanted to charge.
