will the ipod touch 4g have HDR photography?
Yes because it has HD video recording, so it can also have HDR photography, apple will put this as a selling point. I'll stick to my 2G for an iPhone 5 this time though Please Register or Log in to view images

Its not guaranteed mate, the camera on the iPt4 is much worse for taking still shots. While the video camera will play HD the still quality isn't above 1mp. Its 0.7mp. Its possible that it won't have HDR. Please Register or Log in to view images
Jobs mentioned that all would get HDR photography in 4.1 so Im pretty sure that would include the ipod touch, however he said that the ipad would get it too... So Im assuming he may have misstated it.
yeah i know but it seems to me that the mp wont have anything to do with hdr. it seems to me that hdr should work with any camera
It might, it might not. If it does, cool. If not, oh well.
Just assume it doesn't and if it does, you're surprised, and if it doesn't, you're not disappointed.
he never said that the touch was getting it. he said it was coming to the iphone in 4.1 and ipad in 4.2 haha all the pics of the example HDR pics where on an iphone. im not saying it wont or will but my guess prolly not
HD video has nothing to do with HDR photos.
As mentioned, HDR is a feature that will be included in iOS 4.1. I wouldn't be holding my breathe for HDR photos on the iPod Touch 4 though due to its lacking photo sensor. The new camera is for video.
EDIT: To clarify, the camera is designed for video. Yes it does take stills, we all know that.
It also take stills.
