HD mkv Player App?

    HD .mkv Player App?

    Is there an app that can play .mkv video files smoothly? I have a few other apps like flex player and o player but they don't really play .mkvs, let alone HD .mkvs that well.

    It's not the app...it's the hardware limitations of your iPod touch. The current iPod touch isn't powerful enough to process such high quality video. The A5 devices should be able to handle it though. I had an mkv in Oplayer on my iPad 2...and it worked pretty good.

    Surprisingly, I never thought about that. I found that using OPlayer's hardware decoding lets me play them smoothly for the time being.

    you can try 2 players :
    Oplayer : just tap the video and it will give you the .mov format of video in just 2 minuts.if it doesnt , go to setting of Oplayer and on\off the use " use quick time " and then tap your video again .... it'll work.
    ECplayer : it can play 720p .mkv videos without any lag ....
    i have tried both of them on ipod 4 and they work great.

    I couldn't find a single movie played to play a mkv file without the picture freezing.
