If the server seems to be down, you can try this third "mirror" which lists the PDF files in a directory. Just pick the correct file in accordance to your device. http://jailbreakme.modmyi.com/_/ Some people are reporting that Safari crashes upon using http://www.jailbreakme.com on 4.0 firmware (or 4.0.1) and I'm fairly certain I've found the issue. iPod Touch 2G/3G (MC AND MB models), iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS (Old and New bootroms) If you are using a Pre-release GM version of 4.0, I'm fairly certain that this is the cause of the jailbreak not working. To check if you are running this version of the software or not, you should look on your springboard for an application called "Game Center". This application was not included in the public release of 4.0, and I'm thinking that the difference between these firmwares prevents the exploit from working properly. iPhone 4 There have been reports of facetime and MMS missing after the jailbreak... Apparently this issue is more likely to occur on 4.0 firmware. After you restore to 4.0.1, make a backup of your iPhone. Jailbreak your iPhone, then if facetime/MMS is still missing, restore from the backup you made before the jailbreak. This will KEEP the jailbreak, but it should restore the facetime/MMS features. UPDATE: The issues of facetime and MMS missing have apparently been fixed... if you haven't jailbroke your phone yet, it's safe to now on both 4.0 and 4.0.1 (I assume). If you are already jailbroken, you can wait for a patch via Cydia, or you can simply restore from a backup. (it won't delete the jailbreak) iPad AND, finally for the iPad 3.2.1 firmware... from what I've read, it appears to work for previously jailbroken iPad's... maybe this is bogus... if so, post below and I'll update this. In case none of the above works... If you are on the official version of 4.0 (Or 4.0.1) (public release), Try restoring to a fresh firmware, then jailbreak upon finishing the restore. Userland jailbreaks seem to be very sensitive to what data is on your device... the slightest error will not allow the exploit to function. HOW TO JAILBREAK: If you want to try the jailbreak on your device, simply go to http://www.jailbreakme.com/ on your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad. Alternatively, visit the mirror site, http://www.jailbreakme.modmyi.com/ UPDATE: As I suspected, after restoring to the official release of 4.0, the jailbreak works flawlessly.
