ok I know this has been asked alot, and I have searched around and googled everywhere to no avail.

I'm trying to help a friend jailbreak a 1G ipod touch, running 1.1.5 firmware. I used blackra1n and tried the jailbreak but, the ipod goes into recovery and shows that "connect to itunes" image then - on itunes it says the ipod touch must be restored and no matter what i do i can't reverse what I did to screw up my friend's ipod touch. the blackra1n says "running..." for more than 20minutes

so I restored the ipod and now not only are her music and videos gone, I STILL can't manage to jailbreak it. can somebody please direct me to valid and updated link that actually works where i can download something to jb it. I have googled everywhere and almost every site has outdated mirrors and mirrors on [PIRACY.mu] and [PIRACY.rs] WHERE I CAN'T download from.

somebody please help me. thanks a million.

Just re-sync after restoring. I don't think that Blackra1n jailbreaks the 1.1.5 firmware (correct me if I am wrong). Use PwnTool or QuickPwn.

Wow, update it to 3.1.2, then jailbreak it with Blackra1n.

google: 'download ipod firmware' and click on the first link
download 'iPod Touch 1G (2.2.1)' and in iTunes shift+click on the restore button and then restore the file you just downloaded. when youve done that jailbreak it and it should work.

firmware 2.2.1 doesn't work with blackra1n, you need 3.1.2 love.
