So I plug my iPod into my computer today but it won't sync. I have a second gen touch that's never been jailbroken. When it's connected my ipod says sync in progress and my iTunes says "syncing" and "verifying" but it never finishes verifying or syncing. Is there any way to fix this without restoring the ipods original settings? If I have to do that will I lose all my apps and the info on my apps (contacts, game info, etc.) any help would be appreciated thanks....

If you do a backup in iTunes, and you have your music, apps, etc. still in your iTunes library, you can do a restore and not lose anything.

Yeah, I think I remember having this problem. A quick reboot should do the trick.
