Have a MAC G4 tower. needs an OS.

    so i go this old G4 tower that had its drive fried kinda and i havent used it in like three years but now im lookin to try to boot it up again. problem is it needs an OS cuz i put a different drive in it cuz the old one went bad. i need to know what kind of OS i can put on it and how to if i cant figure it out. i mean, i could install linux or ubuntu or something like that sept i dont know where to get started cuz ive never really messed with a MAC with no OS before. can some one here help me with this?

    but i dont have OS X Leopard or is that a free download? sorry im a MAC noob.

    so a Mac OS is the only kind of OS that will go on it? i think that one of my friends may have a Leopard install disk. hes a really Mac guy. if not ill do it my way.

    You can put Ubuntu on there, or any other Linux distro that has a PPC port. Like YellowDog.

    YellowDog? is that just a Linux/Ubuntu type OS? and your saying that it would work on a G4...
