so i am reading other posts that say be cautious because snow leopard could be like how vista was when it came out. But personally i don't think apple would make a mistake like that. i'll probably wait a couple of days to get it.

If anyone that has dl snow leopard actually had any problems yet?

Only complaint I have is not being able to install it

! Not looking forward to doing a clean install. Lost my Ubuntu partition and my rEFit boot menu so far. They should have kept that september release date and worked out the bugs first. Not only that I'm sure this threw off developers who were counting on a september release and now have to scramble to finish there updates.

Bad move, poor release. I'm far from the only one having issues, just search the internet a little.

But I thought they didn't change anything! I though there was no way anything could possibly go wrong! [/sarcasm]

My install was quick. I got 21 GB of HD space back. I'm very satisfied.

Actually, it was my fault. I used the wrong partitioning map when I setup my ubuntu dual-boot. Not only will SL not install, but, no version of OSX will install on the my HD until I reformat the entire drive.

    User error, not Snow leopard.

    Its been great.
Boot up and wake up time are faster.
However, maybe i did an upgrade instead of a clean install,
Some software opening time are slower, but its not significant.
Love the new Exposee. Minimized software can be chosen from "All Windows"

installed perfectly and is running great. To compare apple to M$ is just disgraceful. Apple writes their OS software to run on their hardware. There are maybe 10 variables. MS writes their OS to work on ANY x86 platform, there are MILLIONS of variables. That is why windows sucks and mac is so stable! You can fit in one room all the hardware configs for a mac. Hackintosh comps are technically illegal and pretty dumb in my opinion. If you want to install mac os on an untested machine don't complain if it doesn't work!
