I remember back in the days of 1.1.1 and 1.1.2, jailbreaking was really cool.

Running Apollo to talk to my friends through AIM, installing games and playing them just to get people's attention. It just felt like I was doing something new and rebellious. Not to mention now all you have to do to jailbreak is run a simple program.

Now (to me at least) it's dull. Jailbreaking is now only used for tweaks and a few games that didn't get accepted into the App Store.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have my device any other way, it just doesn't hold as much interest any more. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Meh i never really cared that much in the first place.

I mean the iPhone was originally meant as a phone and an ipod, and thats what i used it for.

I mean sure it was fun to show off tap tap revolution and gPSPhone to my friends but I mean i didnt use them that much otherwise.

Plus the main thing, themes are still here and better than ever with winterboard, so are emulators, and all of the mobile substrate goodies that came after the app store even

Jailbreaking definitely isn't as useful as it once was. But I still get tons of people staring at my iPod when I have a theme on it or making categories.

Yes, to me it is now basically useless. The only good thing are the themes, but I have a feeling its only a matter of time until Apple incorporates that into the App Store.

Because apple seems to love leaving out features that it's products are easily capable off.

Exactly. They like to limit it to never devices. Just wait and see till we get the "Theme store"... now ONLY on "iPhone 3G[Themes]".

Just like "The first iPhone cannot do MMS" bullsh*t.
