Has anyone tried iTor with privoxy, running on the iPod? Basically, it is a proxy server that runs on your ipod/iphone to act like adblock. Someone compiled it here: http://www.linux-ren.org/modules/everestblog/?p=161 He includes the binaries, source, as well as a GUI to start and stop it. I couldn't get the tor part working (nor did I really want to use it), so I manually started privoxy by running the command in the startTor script file. I also had to comment out the last line in the privoxy config file so it will work without the tor application. I'm using firmware 1.1.3. It does work, it seems to strip out some ads. However, most of the time, I get proxy errors that it can't resolve the name server. (after reloading the page, it sometimes works) Also, some sites look bad. For example, the yahoo main page looks good, but articles look like crap. Maybe it is a css issue. Might be a fun thing to people to play with. I don't know if its a config file problem, or just a limitation of privoxy.
